Florida Consumer Health Reference Workshops
Each of the below classes is a blend of self-paced and instructor-led sessions. The Florida multi-type library cooperatives have partnered to bring you these workshop opportunities, so anybody from any Florida library is invited to register.
Beyond an Apple a Day: Providing Consumer Health Information at Your Library
This hands-on class provides an overview of core consumer health information resources, the reference interview, disclaimers, and privacy issues.

Prescription for Success: Consumer Health Information on the Internet
This introductory course includes the basics of MedlinePlus.gov, ClinicalTrials.gov and other resources from professional medical associations and advocacy groups including information on drugs and herbal remedies.

The Florida Consumer Health Information Network steering committee includes 18 members of the Florida healthcare and library communities and its purpose is to explore ways for librarians across the state to collaborate to deliver medical and consumer health information to Florida residents.
