OCLC FirstSearch® Telnet access information:

There is currently a problem with accessing the FirstSearch via Telnet. OCLC is addressing the problem, but until it is solved, here are instructions on how to work around it:

1. Click on the link below to bring up a Lynx Telnet window
2. You will get an error message. Click on 'OK'
3. Click on the 'Connect' menu
4. Click on 'Remote System'
5. The 'Term Type' should be set at vt100. Click the drop-down menu, and change it to VT100 (with capital letters 'V' and 'T')
6. Click 'Connect'

You should then have the welcome screen up asking for your authorization and password.
